For most of us, our day-to-day lives are dominated by work. But more and more, Chicagoans all over the city are rejecting the grind that turns people into dollar signs to help, show up for and support one another.

Join us for local films celebrating to work we do for one another and the good of our city and the ways in which we leverage our individual skills and assets to help others, just because the world is better for it.

Coming to Parks August 29 - September 3

Our Chicago community is strong, resilient and deeply interconnected across the city's 77 Community Areas and 50 wards. Every day, Chicagoans from all over the city show up for their neighbors, support their friends and offer help where it is needed in their community. Join us for screenings of our 17 2022 Official Selections, in parks across the city, and witness the intangible and instrumental connections that keep our city running on a human level.

Chicago Onscreen strives to be a filmmakers' film festival. We want to introduce our audiences not just to some amazing local films, but also to celebrate and showcase the artists whose work makes each film possible. From Directors and Producers to Writers, Cast, Wardrobe, Grips and more, our 17 Official Selections represent the work of dozens, if not hundreds, of Chicago creatives. Using boundless imagination, international collaboration and thoughtful storytelling, the Chicago Onscreen Class of 2022 have created a slate of films we are proud to add to our growing list of local films in local parks.
