About the Filmmaker

Gabriella Wiltz is an LA-based writer/director and movement thinker from Chicago, IL with a passion for telling character-driven stories, especially those about three-dimensional Black women and their personal, often psychological, experiences navigating life. Her dance background has made exploring movement and our experiences in our bodies a touchstone of her filmmaking process as she continues to explore new integrations between dance film and narrative storytelling. She recently graduated from UCLA with an MFA in directing and received her BFA in dance from The Ohio State University in 2017.
