About the Filmmaker
Mykhailo Bogdanov (he/him) is a filmmaker who was born and raised in the small village of Yaltushkiv, Ukraine. On his own, he immigrated to the USA in 2012 at the age of 19. Mykhailo holds a BA in Film and Television from the School of Cinematic Arts at DePaul University. He also has a MS in Environmental Science from DePaul University. Many of his films explore the theme of sustainability. His most recent short documentary AVOESIS was selected to screen at the 29th Austin Film Festival.

As many as one billion birds die each year in the United States due to building collisions, but there are people who care and work hard to change this.
