Ladu Pearson & Eugene Robinson
Eugene Robinson, Jr. and Ladu Pearson are the founders of SIB Production LLC (STORIES IN BLACK) a multidimensional production company dedicated to exploring and elevating the narrative of being a Black Gay man in America. SIB was founded in 2020 by Eugene Robinson, Jr and Ladu Pearson who realized back in 2006 that their journies to becoming their authentic selves were one and the same. The transformative experience of sharing their parallel journeys deepened their belief in the power of collective storytelling within the Black gay community and took them on a 15-year development journey. Within those 15 years, Ladu and Eugene developed their concepts and ideas to set out to inspire and create a safe space for other Black gay men to share their own stories. They decided the best way to do that was through creating productions of their own. Since its creation, SIB Productions LLC has created, developed, and produced several projects. SIB Production credits include The Journey (mini-documentary series)- telling the coming out stories of 4 black gay men and how it affected their relationships with family, themselves, and within love. Fellaship- a table discussion series geared towards the issues black gay men face in America.
I-3:Blackout- a documentary exploring the Intersectionality of the identity of being Black, a Black man, and a Black gay man.

i-3:BLACKOUT explores the intersectionality of identity being Black, a Black man and a Black gay man in America. Identifying the parallel experience one has while inhabiting intersecting identities, i-3:Blackout takes on the journey of self discovery and how one navigates the influences of family, race, the black community and religion.

The five guys take you on their journey of self discovery and how they navigated the influence of family, race ,the black community and religion. The film is shot in different locations throughout Chicago, showing the beauty and uniqueness of the city.
